Terms and Conditions
Passenger conduct:
- The driver is responsible for the safety of the vehicle. Any passenger whose conduct is in breach of statutory regulations may be removed from the vehicle or prevented from boarding on the driver's authority.
- The person in charge of the hire will be responsible for the conduct of passengers and for any damage caused to the vehicle by passengers during the hire.
- Transporthire reserves the right to charge the person who has hired the bus or coach for any damage caused during the course of any charter,
- It is against the law to smoke in a Public Transport Vehicle therefore NO SMOKING is allowed in any of our vehicles.
- The driver reserves the right to refuse to transport persons under the influence of intoxicating liquor or drugs, or who are, or are likely to become objectionable to other persons inside or outside the vehicle.
- Any unruly behavior on or off the vehicle at any time of the charter, the driver has the right to terminate the charter immediately and if necessary will call the police immediately.
- Strictly no alcohol is to be brought onto the bus or consumed in the bus without prior permission from Transporthire, if this is breached it will result in a termination of service and no refund of the charter shall be issued. Consuming or bringing alcohol may result in surcharge fee and also passengers will be liable for damage or cleaning to be completed.(surcharges differ and will be confirmed prior to transport.
- Transporthire shall not be liable for any loss or inconvenience caused by the termination of its charter service due to unruly behavior by any passenger.
- The person in charge of the hire is responsible for any cost of repairs resulting from any damage caused to the vehicle by any passengers.
- Strictly no food is to be consumed in any of our vehicles at any time.
- All passengers must be seated at all times when the vehicle is moving.
- Passengers are not permitted to place any part of their body outside the vehicle, whilst the vehicle is moving.
- Passengers must remove all rubbish on exiting the vehicle. A clean up fee may be charged if the vehcile returns in an unreasonable state.
- Transporthire reserves the right to charge the person in charge of the hire for all extra charges, cleaning and damage fees, fines and any penalties.
Limousine Transfers:
- Please note all quotes on Limousine Transfers are charged by the hour and the minimum fee payable is equivelent to one hours hire.
Additional Charges:
- When, at the request of the person in charge of the hire, any change in service resulting in additional mileage or hours to that specified on the charter service order produced, an additional charge shall be made for such additional service. Transporthire will notify the person in charge of the hire of any additional charges that may be expected to be incurred at the time of the original order. Any additional fees unforeseen prior to the departure of the charter are the responsibility of the Hirer.
- Any additional payments required resulting from damage,cleaning, fines or penalties will be claimed from the person who has hired the vehicle.
- The person in charge of the hire is responsible for allocating a safe & legal pick up point. They shall be liable for all fines & penalties resulting from inappropriate or illegal pick up locations in clearways, no stopping zones, no parking zones and no standing zones,
- An increase in hours of the original charter over the original charter hours will be charged to the total fee.
Cancellation fees and charges:
- The person in charge of the hire must notify Transporthire of cancellations via fax or email only.
- Cancellations must be made either via fax to (02) 9609 7155 or via email to contact@btransport.com.au
- The following cancellation charges apply for any cancellations made fourteen (14) days before the hire takes place.
Payments:
- All bookings must be secured with a non-refundable deposit as follows
- 50% deposit to secure your booking upon confirmation of hire
- Payment must be finalised at least seven (7) days prior to booking date unless other payment agreement has been agreed to by Transporthire in writing via fax or email.
- Any requested non-refundable deposit must be paid by the time stated. Cash payments must be made before the start of the hire unless we have agreed in writing to a variation in this condition.
- All invoices must finalised by their due date.
- The person in charge of the hire shall be personally liable for the payment of all deposits and payments but in the event of failure by the person in charge of the hire to discharge such deposits and/or payments we reserve the right to claim the same from each passenger individually or collectively and each passenger shall remain jointly and severally liable for such payments.
- Payment by business cheque is accepted on receipt of our invoice.
- Personal cheques are required at our office ten (10) working days prior to the booking for bank clearance and issue of invoice
- Cash payment can be paid directly to the driver on the day of the charter and prior to its commencement. An invoice will be issued via email to the customer within a few days of the charter being complete.
- Credit Card payments may be paid via Mastercard or Visa only, please note a credit card surcharge of 2.5% applies.
- We use Paypal for our all credit card transactions. Paypal is the worldwide leader in safe and secure online payments.
- Payment also available via bank transfers.
Other terms and conditions;
- All drivers have been trained to manage emergency situations. In the case of an emergency, please follow the driver’s instructions.
- The driver is ultimately in total control of the charter and will communicate with the leader regarding alterations to the charter or requests from the group.
- The agreed and arranged finishing time remains the same (unless extended) regardless of the starting time, otherwise extra charges will apply.
- Any special requests by the person in charge of the hire during the tour or charter are to be agreed by the driver only.
- By confirming your booking with Transporthire you are agreeing to our Terms and Conditions.
- By making a deposit to secure a booking with us you are bound by our Terms and Conditions.
- All bookings must be confirmed with a deposit or payment in full before the charter has taken place.
